Lafia, Nov. 15, 2022 ( NAN) Member representing Doma North Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Salihu Iyimoga, has distributed N5,000 each to 200 women and youths of his constituency to make them self reliant and contribute to the development of the State.
Iyimoga, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Youth and Sports Development, stated this while launching his Second Empowerment Scheme to the women and youths in Alagye electoral ward.
He said that 500 women and youths of his constituency would benefit from the second phase of the scheme.
The lawmaker said that the gesture was also to improve on the standard of living of the people.
” This is my second phase of my Empowerment Scheme to the people of my constituency, especially to the women and youths.
” But today, I will start with 200 women and youths where N5000 will be distributed to each of them, ” he said.
Iyimoga assured of his continuous commitment to provide more dividends of democracy to the people, if given another mandate in 2023.
He solicited for the support of all and sundry to enable him to succeed.
Also, Mr Ahmadu Osagede, the Chairman, ZLP Doma LGA, appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.
The chairman urged the people of the constituency to vote Iyimoga and other ZLP candidates in 2023, to improve their standard of living.
Earlier, Iyimoga and his entourage paid traditional homage to the District Head of Alagye, Mr Abubakar Akpaki and leader of Eggon community in Alagye, Usman Kuje, for Royal blessings.
