Abuja, Nov. 20, 2022 (NAN) President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan, has felicitated former President Goodluck Jonathan on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
Lawan, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Ola Awoniyi, in Abuja on Sunday, joined other Nigerians in rejoicing with the former president on the auspicious occasion.
He noted that Jonathan had devoted his life to service as a teacher, political leader and international statesman.
According to the senate president, Nigerians will continue to appreciate the former president’s contributions to the development of the country and his passion for the Nigerian project.
“A great part of the legacy of former President Jonathan is his pursuit of peace in his political conduct and activities.
“It is noteworthy that he has continued to pursue this at home and in his international engagements as an African statesman.
“As he celebrates this happy day, my prayer is that God will sustain him in good health and grant him many more years of impactful service to our country and the African continent,” Lawan said.
